Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has officially changed her name one year after marrying actor and model Jake Bongiovi. The two were married in May 2024, while Brown was in the middle of filming for Stranger Things season 5. In August 2025, the couple announced they adopted a baby girl, the trio living in Georgia together as a family.
Now, People reports that, in an interview with VT, Brown revealed to her Stranger Things co-star, Noah Schnapp, that she officially took Bongiovi's last name. After a back-and-forth where Schnapp humorously tried guessing what her new name was, she revealed it to be Millie Bonnie Bongiovi. She joked the repeating sounds meant she can go by "Millie Bon Bon" now.
This isn't the first time the actor has revealed a change to her name. She previously revealed in an interview for her film The Electric State that her middle name is not Bobby, but Bonnie. She explained how she used a stage name for her middle name "for s***'* and giggles." She's still been credited professionally as Millie Bobby Brown.
Brown and Bongiovi live a very private life. The pair have optioned not to reveal their daughter's name to the public, not wanting to put her in the spotlight of fame when she can't make that decision for herself. She has also praised her husband as an "amazing dad," with the pair living a quiet, peaceful life outside their work.
In addition to the release of the final episodes of Stranger Things, she'll also play the lead role in the upcoming Netflix original series Prism. All three of her unreleased projects are currently in post-production. Despite how busy her acting career has been, though, she's still managed to find the time to spend with her family.
