Fallout fans have been extremely patient in waiting for news about the next mainline entry in the iconic post-apocalyptic franchise. But with Fallout 5 likely not releasing until after Bethesda tackles The Elder Scrolls 6, an absolutely massive project with an equally unclear future, players are looking for any sort of Fallout lifeline they can get.
While it isn't the Fallout release fans have been hoping for, a brand-new tabletop card game called Fallout: Power Play is scheduled to release in 2026 (via BleedingCool). Created by Modiphius Entertainment and Bethesda, it's a 2–4 player strategy game where players join one of the four of the major factions from the Fallout games, and it's scheduled to launch in January.
Fallout: Power Play Lands In 2026
Fallout: Power Play is an exciting new tabletop card game featuring four key factions from the iconic Fallout games, where players choose between the Brotherhood of Steel, the Enclave, the Raiders, and the Super Mutants and compete to "gain control" of various memorable locations across the Wasteland.
Players will use "Agents to gain influence" and partake in "Quests" to gain advantages and bonuses throughout the game, or employ "Power Play" cards to disrupt other players' strategies and gain the upper hand. Each Fallout: Power Play set includes the following items and will be available in January 2026:

- 10 Wasteland Cards
- 6 Location Cards
- 1 Token Sheet
Fallout: Power Play is certain to be a hit among fans of the franchise who enjoy tabletop games, though it's important to note it will be based on the games much more than the hit Amazon television show. It's Not The Game We Expected
