The Marvel Cinematic Universe has just given fans its most brutal superhero kill with a shocking twist in the franchise's latest release. 2026 is undoubtedly a big year for the MCU. With the Avengers movie's introduction of Doctor Doom and multiversal plot, many heroes and villains could die, as has been teased by the somber tone of the Avengers: Doomsday teasers. With the Punisher and villains like Scorpion and Tombstone, the Spider-Man film should also feature many deaths. Marvel's New TV Show Has The MCU's Most Brutal Superhero Kill (With A Twist)

Wonder Man is easily one of the most powerful characters in the MCU, even though his powers are not fully on display in the new MCU series. However, the Marvel show does give fans a few samples of just how powerful Simon is.
One of those comes late in the series, when Simon explodes a soundstage. Other angry outbursts were shown throughout Wonder Man, with the Marvel character sending out destructive ionic energy in all directions. However, the most shocking moment was when Simon brutally killed Richard, an actor doing a scene with him, by punching him right through the face.
While the moment was a dream, it was the most brutal on-screen superhero kill in the MCU thus far. Yes, characters like Deadpool and the Punisher have plenty of bloody kills. However, they are not full-on heroes, falling into the anti-hero category. As such, Simon Williams powerfully punching through a man's face is a superhero's most brutal MCU feat, even if a dream.
Why Wonder Man Does Not Really Have Superhero Action Scenes?
While Simon Williams briefly fights some thugs and uses his powers, which sends him and Trevor Slattery on a run to catch someone who filmed the fight, there is no traditional superhero vs. villain fight in the MCU's new TV show. That is very much by design, as Wonder Man is a comedy series at heart, not a superhero action show.
That said, Wonder Man sets up its main character to be part of full-on superhero battles in the future. We see Simon's powers every now and then through energy outbursts, and in the season finale, he breaks Trevor out of prison by flying them out of there. Wonder Man is a powerful hero who could be a weapon for the Avengers in the team's upcoming movies.
