The Hallmark universe just got a little more glamorous! Odette Annable is making her highly anticipated debut in the new film Kentucky Roses, and while fans are already swooning over her chemistry with network veteran Andrew Walker, there is one question on everyone’s mind: When will her husband, Dave Annable, be joining her for a cozy rom-com?
The -year-old actress, who plays Sadie Moore in the new flick premiering Saturday, May , isn’t ruling it out. In fact, she’s already manifesting a future collab with her “silver fox” husband.
“We’ve worked together before, and we’ve actually shot a Christmas rom-com, and that was a great time,” Odette exclusively told Us Weekly. She teased that “absolutely in the future” she would love to have Dave as a scene partner on Hallmark.

However, fans might have to wait just a little longer. Dave, , is currently “busy” filming season of Lioness for Paramount+ in Texas. Plus, Odette joked that spending too much time together on set might be a bit much for their marriage.
“I always say he likes working with me more than I like working with him,” she quipped. “Because he’s my husband, we see each other all the time… I’m like, ‘What more? How much more do we need?'”
Despite the playful jabs, Odette admitted that if the “opportunity ever presented itself” to star in a Hallmark film as a couple, they would both love to jump at the chance.
A Kentucky Derby Dream
While they aren’t sharing the screen just yet, the parents of two are sharing a very special milestone this weekend. Dave will be joining Odette at the Kentucky Derby to “experience it together” for the first time.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as the race coincides with the premiere of Kentucky Roses, which was actually filmed on-site at the iconic Churchill Downs.
“There’s a real greenhouse at Churchill Downs that we shot in, which was really amazing,” Odette shared. Her character, Sadie, is a greenhouse worker with big dreams of becoming a florist. “Fans will see her trying to find herself, get those goals, and go after her purpose.”
Sparks Fly with Andrew Walker
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Hallmark movie without a little romance. Enter Andrew Walker, one of the network’s undisputed “kings.” Walker plays Ash Taylor, the son of the Churchill Downs CEO, who returns home to help his father fix the race track’s famous spires.
Walker revealed he has been “trying to do this movie for a while” due to personal connections to Kentucky. As for the chemistry between Ash and Sadie? Odette promises it’s worth the watch.
“Let’s just say the fireworks start going off, literally,” she teased.
The film’s plot follows the duo as they team up to save the legendary Kentucky Derby rose blanket, uncovering a “generational love story” in the process. Between the historic setting and the star-studded cast, social media is already buzzing with KentuckyRoses excitement.
Kentucky Roses premieres on Hallmark Channel Saturday, May , at p.m. ET and will be available to stream the next day on Hallmark+. Whether or not Dave Annable makes a surprise cameo in the future, Odette is clearly blooming in her new Hallmark home!
