Amy Schumer got candid about her health on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, sharing how she was feeling in the wake of her January divorce from her husband, Chris Fischer. The 44-year-old revealed that she felt "happier than I've ever been," before the podcast host, Amanda Hirsch, commented on her 50-lb weight loss and glowing visage.
"I actually had, kind of, a botched colonoscopy, so I'm not feeling very sexual," Amy countered, referring to the medical procedure where a doctor examines the large intestines for blockages, cancer, ulcers or other issues with a microscopic camera.
The comedienne did not go into detail about the "botched" procedure, but has been incredibly open in the past about her health issues, including her diagnosis of Cushing syndrome.
The syndrome occurs when the body has too much cortisol for too long, and can lead to weight gain, high blood pressure, fatigue, and even death in extreme cases. "I was getting these steroid injections, and so it gave me this thing called Cushing syndrome, which I wouldn't have known if the internet hadn't come for me so hard," Amy explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
"I learned that I had something called 'moon face,' and I'm starring in a movie, and there's a camera in my face, and I'm like, 'Oh, my God.' I was feeling really down on myself before I started filming this movie."
Amy also suffers from endometriosis, a chronic condition that occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside of it, causing extreme pain, scarring, inflammation, and even infertility.
"I have been working to be pain-free, and I finally am," she wrote in a November post on Instagram. "My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome, so my face went back to normal. I am grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son. I'm proud of how I've looked always."

The mother of one has lost more than 50 lbs since embarking on her weight loss journey, and clarified to her followers in December that her transformation was not for aesthetic reasons, but for the sake of her health.
"I didn't lose 30lbs, I lost 50," she wrote on Instagram in December. "Not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive. I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you, but the internet caught it and that disease has cleared."
"Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost weight. I've had plastic surgery over the years, and I use Mounjaro." Mounjaro is a GLP-1 weight loss drug, which works to suppress the appetite and help the user lose weight.
Her transformation comes in the wake of her split from Chris Fischer, which she announced via a statement in December. "Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after seven years," she wrote on social media. "We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time."
"Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever," she concluded. The pair share a seven-year-old son, Gene.
