With its renewal for a 23rd season, NCIS continues its elite status as not only the longest-running scripted show on CBS, but one of the longest-running scripted TV shows currently airing. There have been several cast changes across the show's 20-plus years on the air with Sean Murray, who began as a guest star in Season 1, the longest-running. The 23rd season of NCIS will begin airing new episodes in Fall 2025 when CBS launches its new fall schedule

What time will NCIS Season 23 air?

NCIS will most likely air in its current timeslot of 9 p.m. ET/PT on Monday nights on CBS–unless CBS shakes up its fall schedule–and stream next day on Paramount+.

Is there a trailer for NCIS Season 23?

Not yet. The series is still currently filming Season 22 episodes.

When the series premiered, it was initially called Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which was later shortened to NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Then, once everyone knew what NCIS stood for, the series simply became NCIS.

Again, NCIS will most likely air on Monday nights on CBS unless the network does a big shakeup of its fall schedule. Then stream the next day on Paramount+.

Does NCIS air on Netflix?

Yes, but only Seasons 1-17.
