CBS 2025-2026 Schedule: Three ‘NCIS’ Shows Back-to-Back on Tuesdays, Jerry Bruckheimer Owns Fridays With ‘Sheriff Country,’ ‘Fire Country’ and ‘Boston Blue’

CBS announced its fall and spring schedule for the 2025-2026 season at a press briefing in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The lineup, made up of 16 returning and 8 new series, features a few key shifts from last year: most notably, “NCIS” is returning to its previous timeslot on Tuesdays at 8 p.m., followed by spinoffs “NCIS: Origins” at 9 p.m. and “NCIS: Sydney” at 10 p.m. This is the first time the network has stacked the franchise in this way — a move that CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said will be branded as “Super Tuesday.”

Fridays on CBS will be similarly stacked, with three Jerry Bruckheimer shows premiering in a row. The night begins with “Sheriff Country,” a new spinoff of “Fire Country,” which will air directly after. And at 10 p.m., “Blue Bloods” spinoff Boston Blue” (working title) will debut. (CBS also announced the casting of Sonequa Martin-Green in “Boston Blue” at the press briefing.)

“Survivor” remains in its Wednesday 8 p.m. timeslot, and “The Amazing Race” will follow it at 9:30 p.m. in the fall after taking last fall off to make room for “The Summit,” which has since been canceled. In the spring, the historic 50th season of “Survivor” will lead into Padma Lakshmi’s recently greenlit cooking competition series, “America’s Culinary Cup.”

“Tracker” has been the most-watched broadcast series for three seasons in a row, and CBS is capitalizing on that to lead into two of its new Taylor Sheridan series next year. The Justin Hartley drama remains in its Sunday 8 p.m. timeslot, and in the fall, will lead into “The Road,” a country music competition series from Sheridan and Blake Shelton. In the spring, the 9 p.m. Sunday spot goes to a “Yellowstone” spinoff following Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton. Titled “Y: Marshals,” this marks the first “Yellowstone” universe series to debut on broadcast rather than Paramount+.

Other new series include workplace comedy “DMV” and “FBI” spinoff “CIA,” both airing on Monday nights with “FBI” in between them. Additionally, Harlan Coben will host a new true crime series on Wednesdays in January.

Thursday and Saturday nights will remain the same as they were during the 2024-2025 season.
