Disney+ has revealed the official release date for The Artful Dodger season 2, a year after its long-awaited and surprising renewal announcement. Premiering in November 2023, the Australian Original series The Artful Dodger crafts a gory, intricate, romantic, and action-packed sequel to Charles Dickens' classic story, Oliver Twist, as Oliver's old pal Jack Dawkins, aka "Dodger" (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), carves out a new life for himself as a surgeon.
His old London gang soon catches up with him, though, as ringleader Fagin (David Thewlis) lands on the shores of Australia, ready to wreak havoc on Dodger's blossoming romance with the Governor's daughter, Lady Belle Fox (Maia Mitchell), and his career in medicine. Season 1 left off with Fagin and Jack in prison — though not for long — and Belle recovering from Jack's daring, life-saving surgery.
Thankfully, audiences won't have to wait much longer to find out what happens next, as Disney has confirmed that all eight episodes of The Artful Dodger season 2 will be released on Disney+ and Hulu worldwide on February 10, 2026. New first-look images confirm returning stars Brodie-Sangster, Thewlis, and Mitchell, as well as Lucy Rose-Leanord as Belle's sister, Lady Fanny Fox, and Luke Carroll as Tim Billiberllary.

Other returning cast members include Susie Porter as Lady Jane Fox, Damien Carver as Governor Fox, and comedian Tim Minchin as Darius Cracksworth. Joining The Artful Dodger for season 2 are Luke Bracey (Holidate) as Port Victory's new policeman, Inspector Henry Boxer, Jeremy Sims (Home and Away) as Uncle Dickie, and Zac Burgess (Cruel Intentions) as the mysterious Phineas Golden.
The official synopsis reads:
"Jack’s back! The Artful Dodger returns, and he’s in deep trouble. He’s got an appointment with the noose, he’s being hunted by Inspector Boxer, Port Victory’s new lawman, and if he sees the woman he loves, Lady Belle, he’ll be hanged.
Meanwhile, Lady Belle is determined to forge her future in medicine, defying expectation and stepping into danger, driven by ambition and a love already hanging in the balance.
With Boxer competing with Jack for Belle’s affection, the crafty Fagin drags Dodger into their most dangerous heist yet, and a killer is on the loose. Get ready for an explosive season of new characters and locations with more thrills, humor, heart, invention and deception than ever."
Surely, the long wait for new episodes — season 2 was only confirmed a year after season 1 had premiered — will be worth it, as more gruesome surgeries, gorgeous romance, and daring heists await in The Artful Dodger season 2.
The Artful Dodger season 2 premieres on Disney+ and Hulu on February 10, 2026.
