Disney+’s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

By James Wilson 12/26/2025

Disney+ has released a host of original content in 2025, and here are the 10 best, ranked against one another. Admittedly, 2025 has been an interesting year for Disney+. A lot of great shows have been released on the platform, though many have been in collaboration with Hulu. Strictly concerning Disney+ original shows, though, the roster has been slightly smaller than usual.

There were not as many live-action Star Wars TV shows released in 2025, for example. Similarly, Disney+'s MCU shows were not being released as frequently as they were in the early 2020s. 2025 marked the final year before Marvel Studios' TV overhaul came into full effect, essentially meaning any remaining pre-overhaul shows were dumped on the platform in the calendar year.

Several of these still worked, though, as did the Star Wars releases of 2025. When adding in a few other Disney+ originals outside the realms of Marvel and Star Wars, the list of strong shows from the House of Mouse grows. With that in mind, here are the best 10, ranked.

10 Eyes of Wakanda

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Eyes of Wakanda was a four-episode anthology series from Marvel Studios, set during various moments of history from the perspective of the titular country's warriors and spies. Eyes of Wakanda was beautifully animated, featured an array of genres, a strong voice cast, and some intriguing explorations of Wakanda's politics.

However, it ranks 10th on this list due to the main pitfall of most MCU stories of late: it feels too supplemental. It offers a good showcase for the wider MCU world, but the franchise has simply done too good a job of making audiences long for interconnected stories so that, when they don't get them, something just feels off.

Eyes of Wakanda, as a result, feels too isolated from the rest of the series, leaving it feeling inconsequential, albeit enjoyable. While some other entries on this list also feel separate from their respective franchises, they are either knowingly so and thus written into the story, or have exciting elements that make them feel more unique than Eyes of Wakanda.

9 LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Aptly, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past is another 2025 Disney+ show that, like Eyes of Wakanda, feels entirely distinct from its wider franchise. However, what allows the former to outrank the latter is the very obvious, non-canon story it was billed as.

No one expected LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past to be canon to Star Wars' Skywalker Saga, least of all Lucasfilm's creatives themselves. As such, the feeling of the story being inconsequential and the disappointing lack of wider franchise connections that were present with Eyes of Wakanda is not present here.

This results in a standalone, inventive, often funny Star Wars-lite story. The riffs on the wider Star Wars locations, characters, and dynamics are endlessly fun, with some great gags and satirical moments. The LEGO aspect allows for a wealth of creative action set pieces, with the story and characters being decent enough.

What stops the series from ranking higher is the more child-friendly tone it employs, which makes it less dramatic and emotionally investable than others above it.

8 Marvel Zombies

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Marvel Zombies is yet another animated Marvel adventure that is not tied to the wider franchise, which explains why it also ranks lower on this list than other 2025 Disney+ originals. This means that it shares the frustrations of Eyes of Wakanda, in that it doesn't feel too important regarding the wider franchise. Like the LEGO Star Wars series, however, it has a notable difference.

Where Eyes of Wakanda is set in the main MCU universe, Marvel Zombies is clearly a story set in another branch of the Marvel multiverse. This gives it the same, more distinct, non-canon feeling of the LEGO Star Wars show that Eyes of Wakanda doesn't possess. Beyond that, Marvel Zombies is darker and gorier, and thus more dramatic, than LEGO Star Wars.

Marvel Zombies' action sequences expertly utilize its undead premise, allowing for some of the strongest animated fights in the franchise. When adding to that the exciting character dynamics of known heroes, which Eyes of Wakanda also did not have, that have not been possible in the mainline MCU, Marvel Zombies was much easier to invest in.

Despite all that, Marvel Zombies does become slightly unfocused in its final episode. The finale is big and epic in scale, but it sets up a second season that no one really asked for, and that might not even happen. For this reason, Marvel Zombies is an enjoyable Disney+ show, but one that doesn't stick in the mind long after finishing it.

7 Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was another animated multiversal MCU show released on Disney+ in 2025. This gave it the same benefit that Marvel Zombies had over Eyes of Wakanda, as no one particularly cared about mainline MCU connections. Also, to be blunt, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man had the benefit of, well, Spider-Man.

Spider-Man is one of the most iconic superheroes of all time for a reason, and most stories involving the character, so long as they nail the spirit of him, are enjoyable. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was no different; it had classic Peter Parker moments, great supporting characters, some nice twists on MCU lore, and teased a promising second season.

Again, the only drawback of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was its lack of emotional resonance. That said, with such a great setup for the future, this could change in upcoming seasons.

6 Ironheart

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Ironheart is the first "true" MCU Disney+ show on this list, in that it focuses on a major hero, is set in the main timeline, and has massive implications on the wider franchise. This immediately places it above the other MCU shows explored so far, aided by the fact that Ironheart was incredibly stylish, had some great performances, and a truly exciting finale.

Ironheart, unlike the shows already mentioned, also had an emotional depth to it. The themes of family, loss, grief, and how that was blended with Riri Williams' technological background were genuinely intriguing, resulting in a few tear-jerking scenes.

Then, the introduction of the MCU's Mephisto after years of theorizing, and what that could mean for the wider franchise, was overly satisfying. Sadly, elements of Ironheart felt rushed and constricted by the MCU's six-episode mandate that is thankfully disappearing with the franchise's TV overhaul.

Beyond Riri, her family, and closest friends, Ironheart simply did not have enough time to make its wider supporting cast as strong as its main characters. The show's villain, The Hood, was especially underwritten. If Ironheart had more episodes, it could well have ranked higher.

5 Star Wars: Visions Season 3

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Star Wars: Visions is also a non-canon collection of anthology stories in a galaxy far, far away. The clear dedication to non-canon stories allows it to sidestep issues with connectivity, with the sheer artistry on display in Star Wars: Visions elevating it. By utilizing animation studios across the globe, Visions is Star Wars at its most creative and inventive.

Season 3 continues this, allowing even the episodes with weaker stories to look unbelievably stunning. This also removes the constraints of canon, meaning Visions can include action elements, character designs, and locations that could only be dreamed of in Star Wars canon.

Due only to some episodes that do not reach the heights of others, Star Wars: Visions season 3 ranks as the fifth-best Disney+ show released in 2025.

4 Win or Lose

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Win or Lose is the first non-Star Wars or MCU property on this list, and the first ever original series from Pixar Studios. Naturally, Win or Lose has everything that makes Pixar great; it has strong animation, a good voice cast, and valuable themes for younger and older viewers alike.

However, what makes Win or Lose stand out further is its story structure. By following individual members of a sports team leading into a big game, Win or Lose is not a typical Pixar story. This allows a host of themes to shine through with maturity and depth, resulting in a strong emotional connection to the characters and, thus, the entire show.

This ranks Win or Lose above most of the other shows on this list, especially those in 10th-7th, which lacked true resonance on a deeper level. At the end of the day, Win or Lose is a cute, well-animated, investable Disney+ story. It only ranks fourth due to having either less dramatic tension or a bigger franchise impact than the top three.

3 Daredevil: Born Again

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Daredevil: Born Again was not a complete home run, nor did it match the heights of Netflix's Daredevil. The fact that it is still the third-best Disney+ show of 2025, then, speaks to its qualities. Above all else, Daredevil: Born Again ranks this high due to the sheer excitement of seeing Netflix's Defenders timeline made MCU canon, complete with its amazing characters and distinct tone.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio are revered as two of the best pieces of superhero casting in history. Seeing those two return as their iconic Daredevil characters was enough to make Born Again work.

The show did have some disappointing storylines, such as the one involving Muse, and felt somewhat "Frankenstein'd" by being a mix of pre-overhaul and post-overhaul stories. Nonetheless, the violence, the character arcs, the MCU links, and a truly excellent final two episodes allowed Daredevil: Born Again to shine.

If the final two episodes were any indication of what seasons 2 and 3 will look like, perhaps Daredevil: Born Again can match its predecessor in time. Were it not for one of the best TV shows of all time and a Disney+ original that, admittedly, appeals specifically to me as a fan, Daredevil: Born Again could have received better than a bronze medal.

2 Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is the show that resonates directly with me. I grew up a Percy Jackson kid, reading the books when everyone else was reading Harry Potter. For that reason, seeing a faithful, well-made, well-acted adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians was always going to result in me loving it.

Season 2 released on Disney+ in 2025 and only improved on season 1, coming out as a more confident, more epic, more mature journey in this world. The acting is better, the action is more visceral, the scale has increased, and the stories I have loved for decades are coming to life excellently.

If the series concludes as strongly as it has begun, Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will be a home run. The only thing that stops it from ranking as the best Disney+ show of 2025 is the fact that the show in question not only holds that accolade, but is also one of the best sci-fi TV epics of all time.

1 Andor Season 2

Disney+'s 10 Best Shows Of 2025, Ranked

Andor season 2 is the pinnacle of the Star Wars franchise, and, combined with season 1, one of the best shows of all time. It is mature, distinct within Star Wars, beautifully shot, and features themes that the franchise rarely explores. By exploring the evils of the Empire and the steps the Rebels will go to defeat them, Andor occupies a space in Star Wars that nothing else does.

Andor season 2 solidifies that. The show was remarkable, and, for a time, held a live-action TV record by having its final five episodes ranked at a 9.5/10 or higher on IMDb. Despite two episodes dropping to 9.4, these ratings still prove just how amazing Andor season 2 was.

It features some of the best character arcs, best acting performances, and most harrowing action sequences in not only Star Wars but sci-fi TV as a whole. Andor is the best Star Wars has ever offered, leading many to consider it a TV great. For this reason, Andor season 2 is the best Disney+ show of 2025, and nothing really comes close to it.
