ExclusiveColter and Randy Search for Answers in a Reno Nightclub in ‘Tracker’ Season 2, Episode 17

Justin Hartley‘s Colter Shaw is back for another thrilling case on Tracker in season 2, episode 17. In an exclusive clip of the upcoming episode of the drama series obtained by Closer, the survivalist is determined to help Bobby’s cousin Randy out with a missing person’s case full of twists and turns in Reno.

In the clip from the episode titled “Memories,” which will premiere on Sunday, April 20, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, Colter, Randy and new character Megan retrace her steps after a night out with her pal goes awry. Recalling the events of the night prior leads the group to pay a visit to Lux nightclub but they are not greeted with a warm welcome by the staff as they search for answers.

“This is it? This is the last place you remember?” Colter asks Megan, to which she responds, “Yeah, this is where things start getting a little hazy.”

A man named Terry sees them walk into the club as he’s standing behind the bar. He says he knows Megan because he recalls throwing her pal Sonia out of the place the night before. He then briefly explains what led up to her ejection from the club.

“Her friend took a bottle from behind the bar, threw it at another customer,” he explains to Colter, Randy and Megan. “Look, someone’s got to pay for that liquor.”

To make amends, Randy then takes out his wallet to offer to pay for the stolen bottle with cash. Terry says that the bottle was $200, and Randy realizes he does not have enough cash to cover the cost. Randy says that he doesn’t carry that much cash with him. Colter then helps him out and hands over the cash once he notices that his friend is short on money.

“Her friend, Sonia’s her name, she’s missing,” Colter says to Terry, hoping to gain a lead in the case.

“Yeah, the crazy one,” Terry replies. “Haven’t seen her since.”

Colter then looks up and notices a security camera on the ceiling directly above them, and wheels start turning in his head.

“You mind if we look at your security footage? Would that be alright?” he asks nicely.

Terry won’t let them see the surveillance footage without a warrant. Things appear to be tense as Terry ushers to two security guards to escort the trio out of the club.

Randy tries to reason with Terry before Colter tells him that it’s OK. They turn to leave, and Colter says, “I got an idea.”

This is not an entirely new problem for Colter, as he’s dealt with being denied access to security footage on several cases in episodes of Tracker before. But, he usually always finds a way to hack into the system with Bobby’s help or comes up with a solution to obtaining footage. Or, he’s called on other people like Reenie Greene for help in the past. One thing for certain is that the episode is sure to leave us on the edge of our seats.

“Randy enlists Colter’s services for his ex after her best friend goes missing following a night on the town in Reno,” the official logline for the episode says.

Tracker airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
