Secrets are being uncovered today in a brand-new image that we’re thrilled to share as part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview event. So far this week, we’ve tagged along on the case with crime-centered dramas like Tracker and Countdown and jumped down the rabbit hole of adult animation with Beavis and Butthead, but prepare to take a turn towards the mystical with a never-before-seen image from the first season of AMC’s Talamasca: The Secret Order. Set to arrive on the network on October 26, the title serves as the latest series adaptation to come from the literary works of Anne Rice, with both Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches already making a wave with audiences.
In our exclusive image, Nicholas Denton’s (Dangerous Liaisons) Guy Anatole appears to be looking into a mystery. The secret order’s newest recruit can be seen in a dark room, illuminated by only the light shining from his phone. In front of him is an object that could easily be a painting or a mirror with a piece of pink fabric attached to its back. Perplexed by what he’s stumbled upon, Guy looks apprehensive as he creeps closer to his new find.
Unlike Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, Talamasca: The Secret Order won’t center around those with supernatural abilities and the things that go bump in the night, but will rather focus its lens on the group tasked with keeping the demons, witches, and vampires under control. At the top of the season, audiences will be introduced to Guy (Denton), a fresh recruit who is about to have his mind blown as he discovers just how many of these beings have been in his presence from one day to the next. Along the way, he’ll learn from Helen (Elizabeth McGovern), who sends him from one mission to the next. But not everything is as it seems on the outside, and Guy will quickly begin to question the Talamasca’s true intentions.

In addition to McGovern and Denton, the latest series from the tales of Anne Rice also includes William Fichtner (The Longest Yard), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (The Originals), Céline Buckens (The Castaways) and Jason Schwartzman (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World). The worlds of Interview with the Vampire, Mayfair Witches, and Talamasca have long been teased to crossover, with the former’s Eric Bogosian set to appear in the upcoming project as his character, Daniel Molloy.
