Melissa Roxburgh seemed unsure when her character would return to Tracker in Season 2. "Dory has some secrets. She's not being forthcoming about things, so I want to know what happens there," the actress told TV Line while promoting her recently concluded NBC drama The Hunting Party. It was unclear if viewers would see her in Season 2, but those doubts can now be laid to rest. TV Insider revealed that Roxburgh will return to the show in an upcoming episode. Dory is set to appear in Season 2's penultimate episode airing on May 4. In Tracker Season 2, Episode 19, "Rules of the Game, "Reenie (Fiona Rene) urgently calls Colter for help when Leonard Sharf's (Pej Vahdat) assistant gets kidnapped ahead of the launch of his new business. Also, Colter (Justin Hartley) visits his sister, Dory," reads the official logline. Take a look at the image from the episode below.
Dory's return teases a comeback of the Shaw family mysteries that were a huge part of the first season. “I don’t like the idea of wrapping things up in a pretty little bow just for the sake of the fact that it’s the final episode of the season, and so we write to the plot so that everyone’s like, ‘Oh, great, everything’s perfect and fine, and we can go and make a third season,'” series star and co-creator Justin Hartley told TV Insider as he teased the return of the Colter siblings. He added:
“We’ll figure out a lot more, and [Colter will] get more leads. But sometimes when you get more leads and find out more information, it just unravels more s**t, and sometimes that’s more interesting. The way in which he died and the mystery behind it and what he was involved with and who he was involved in it with being the government and all that kind of stuff, there are so many threads to this that he’s following, and it is almost like he almost needs a wall to write things down, almost needs like a Dexter wall. It certainly unravels here towards the end of the season.”
'Tracker' Revisits the Shaw Family Secrets
As the show races toward the season finale, which airs on May 11, the family's secrets will become a major part of the narrative. The finale takes Colter back to his hometown, where some more discoveries are made. "Colter returns to Echo Ridge to investigate a diner owner’s disappearance, only to uncover a decades-old kidnapping and a shocking family secret," reads the logline for Tracker Season 2, Episode 22, "Echo Ridge." Based on Hartley's comments, these secrets will be explored in many seasons as Colter uncovers more.
Tune in to CBS on Sundays to watch new episodes of Tracker before Roxburgh's return on May 4.
