Season 2 of the Justin Hartley-led CBS procedural, Tracker, is hoping to grow its fan base next month, as Hulu will become a temporary home to the crime drama beginning on September 13. With the show’s third season premiere just around the corner on Sunday, October 19, the platform is giving audiences a new way to get caught up on previous episodes that also feature Jensen Ackles (Supernatural), Fiona Rene (The Lincoln Lawyer), and Abby McEnany (Work in Progress) in supporting roles.
Like the first season, the sophomore installment of Tracker follows Hartley’s Colter Shaw as he spends his days tracking down missing people from cases that have seemingly gone cold. While each episode tends to focus on a different missing person's case, there’s the underlying mystery of what happened to Colter’s father that led to his death when Colter and his brother Russell (Ackles) were kids. By the Season 2 finale, some details finally come to light that seem to break the case surrounding his father wide open — but we’ll need to wait until Season 3 for those storylines to circle back.
Since its first season, Tracker has proven to be a massive success for its home base at CBS. The show has boasted huge viewership numbers time and time again, and was one title that audiences weren’t surprised to hear was renewed as soon as the network revealed the next year’s lineup.

Fans certainly love traveling around with Colter Shaw and his team of experts from week to week as they do everything in their power to help families and friends find their missing loved ones. But there’s also an external force that has helped make Tracker the magnificent success it has become — the power of Jensen Ackles. The actor, who appears as the brother to Hartley’s Colter Shaw, will once again join forces with the team during the third season, with showrunner Elwood Reid recently telling Collider:
“Jensen addicts are gonna get a double dose of him this season. And I ain’t gonna make you wait for it. I love writing for Jensen and I think whenever he and Justin are on the screen it just works. He’s so busy I have to bargain with him to get him on the show. But I think he’s an important part of Colter’s story, and he’s able to give the audience another perspective on their childhood. Plus, the two of them together are a blast.”
Head over to Hulu on September 13 to catch up on Season 2 of Tracker.
