EXCLUSIVE: CBS will welcome Pej Vahdat (The Old Man) to its Season 2 cast in the recurring role of ‘Leonard Sharf,’ a demanding client of “Reenie’s” (Fiona Rene) who is out for leverage against one of the founding partners of his company. Willing to throw any amount of money at the problem, he enlists “Reenie” to do his dirty work and insists on making sure there’s no paper trail to connect the two of them.
A teaser of his appearance can be found above. New episodes of Tracker air Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
The series, based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist driven by the troubles of his past who uses his instincts to find the missing and collect rewards. Supported by lawyer Reenie, his business handler Velma Bruin (Abby McEnany) and tech expert Bobby Exley (Graise), Colter will stop at nothing to get the job done.
In the Season 2 midseason return premiere episode “The Disciple”, a new lead in Colter’s white whale case, the disappearance of Gina Picket, brings him and retired cop Keaton (guest star Brent Sexton) back together to track down a serial killer.
Vahdat debuts on Sunday night’s episode “Exodus,” written by Sharon Lee Watson and Amanda Mortlock. Per the logline, when a teenage musician vanishes in New Orleans, Colter teams up with a local detective (Marci House) and uncovers a chilling mystery involving dark magic.
The series is produced by 20th Television. Ken Olin, Hartley and Elwood Reid serve as executive producers.
Vahdat joins Tracker following two seasons in the FX/Hulu drama series The Old Man starring Jeff Bridges. Up next he will lead the pickleball comedy Pickleheads with Harvey Guillen and Adrianne Palicki and appears in the next season of Peacock’s award-winning Poker Face with Natasha Lyonne. He is repped by TalentWorks and Neon Kite.
