Get ready to jump off the roof and stir your coffee with a literal flick of the wrist! The Owens sisters are officially back, and they brought a little bit of “cinema magic” with them.

During the Warner Bros. presentation at CinemaCon on Tuesday, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman sent the audience into a frenzy as they took the stage to tease the highly anticipated sequel, Practical Magic . The duo, who first charmed audiences as Sally and Gillian Owens in the cult classic, proved their chemistry is just as potent nearly three decades later.

The moment quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter) when Kidman leaned into her iconic AMC Theatres “We Make Movies Better” persona. “Why do we come here, Nicole?” Bullock asked her longtime friend. Kidman didn’t miss a beat, playfully channeling her famous ad copy: “We come to this place for magic.”

Fans online lost it over the meta-reference, but the real excitement started when the pair began dishing on what to expect from the sequel. “You can expect midnight margaritas, jumping off the roof, and also have our past catching up with us,” Kidman teased. “We have our destinies, and the family. I think it’s going to be really, really fun.”

For Bullock, returning to the world of Alice Hoffman’s beloved characters felt like stepping back in time. “It felt like we came back to a home that we once lived in,” she shared. And she meant that literally—the production actually rebuilt the iconic Victorian house on the cliff for the new film. “We filled that house with many old and new characters that you’ll love and brought Alice Hoffman’s Book of Magic to life.”

While the plot has been a closely guarded secret, the presentation finally revealed the stakes. Sally and Gillian are still grappling with the centuries-old curse that haunts their family of witches. This time, they must confront dark secrets and make ultimate sacrifices to protect their bloodline.

The first trailer, set to the nostalgic sounds of Harry Nilsson’s “Coconut Song,” gave fans a glimpse of the new generation. Joey King joins the cast as one of Sally’s daughters, while Lee Pace appears as a new character who gets a blunt warning about the Owens family curse.

“Everyone we love dies a really horrible death,” the sisters tell Pace in the clip. In a moment that’s already being quoted across TikTok, they add: “It’s not great for the Tinder bio.”

Directed by Susanne Bier (Bird Box), the sequel also features the return of the legendary Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing as the eccentric aunts. The star-studded ensemble is rounded out by Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod.

“Home is what this is,” Kidman echoed as the panel wrapped. “Getting to return to these characters that have been so loved and so shared, it really has been magical. And being back together, it just clicked.”

Practical Magic is set to hit theaters worldwide on September . Start practicing your spells now—the margaritas are chilling!
