New York City is about to get a whole lot more legendary. The Tribeca Festival has officially announced its lineup, and social media is already in a frenzy over the powerhouse names set to take the stage this June.

At the heart of the excitement is the news that Bruce Springsteen will be honored with the Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award. The “Born to Run” singer isn’t just stopping by for a trophy, either. In a move that has music fans across X and Instagram celebrating, the festival confirmed that Springsteen will be joined by his longtime friend and U frontman, Bono, for an intimate conversation.

A Tribute Fit For “The Boss”

The Belafonte Award, which was established by the late Tribeca chief content officer Paula Weinstein, is reserved for artists who use their massive platforms to fight for equality and human rights. According to Tribeca co-founder Jane Rosenthal, there is no one more deserving than the Jersey legend himself.

“There are few figures who embody the spirit of Tribeca’s Harry Belafonte Award more fully than Bruce Springsteen,” Rosenthal shared in a statement.

To make the night even more special, the event will feature tributes from Robert De Niro and the legendary Patti Smith. Fans are already calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime” gathering of New York icons.
