Keke Palmer, Ashley Park and More Stars Spark Social Media Mystery With Heartwarming New Puppet PSA

The internet is playing a game of “guess that voice” for a very good cause. In honor of Giving Tuesday, a group of Hollywood heavyweights joined forces to bring a little extra magic to social media, voicing a cast of colorful puppets for a new St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital PSA.

The campaign, produced by Full Picture Productions, features an eclectic mix of talent including “Password” host Keke Palmer, “Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park, and “black-ish” alum Anthony Anderson. But they aren’t just appearing as themselves – they are giving life to unique puppet characters based on actual artwork created by St. Jude patients.

A Mystery With a Mission

The viral clip, which has been making the rounds on Instagram and X, was designed to be “attention-grabbing enough to break through the very crowded social space,” according to Anne Walls Gordon, Chief Creative Officer at Full Picture.

The strategy seems to be working. Fans have been flocking to the comments sections of St. Jude’s social channels to identify the “mystery celebrities” behind the whimsical characters. Joining Palmer, Park, and Anderson in the voice cast are “Twin Peaks” icon Kyle MacLachlan, TikTok sensation Noah Beck, “How I Met Your Mother” actress Alyson Hannigan, and “Queer Eye” style guru Tan France.

“My team had the brilliant idea that puppets voiced by iconic mystery celebrities would do exactly that,” Gordon said in a statement, noting that the “family-friendly concept” was the perfect way to amplify the hospital’s lifesaving mission.

Inspired by the Kids

What makes the PSA truly special is the origin of the puppets themselves. Each one is a physical recreation of art drawn by the children receiving care at St. Jude. By turning these drawings into D puppets and pairing them with A-list voices, the campaign highlights the “power of imagination to inspire hope.”

Calvin Purcell, Vice President of Community Management at ALSAC (the fundraising organization for St. Jude), emphasized how vital creativity is to the recovery process. “Art is an important part of holistic care at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” Purcell shared. “By lending their voices to these patient creations, they helped celebrate the power of imagination.”

Fans are Feeling the Love

The reaction online has been overwhelmingly positive, with many users praising the stars for using their platforms for good.

“Keke’s personality literally shines through even as a puppet!” one fan commented on Instagram. Another added, “This is the most wholesome thing on my feed today. We love to see the St. Jude kids’ art come to life!”

This isn’t the first time Full Picture Productions has captured the public’s heart. The agency, founded by Desiree Gruber in , has a long history of award-winning content, boasting Emmy nominations and a Peabody Award. However, this latest collaboration might be their most “animated” yet.

As the holiday season kicks into high gear, the PSA serves as a gentle reminder of the impact of Giving Tuesday. Whether you’re a fan of Ashley Park’s vocals or Noah Beck’s digital presence, the message is clear: a little bit of creativity and a lot of heart can go a long way in supporting the families of St. Jude.
